Fuue

Finally Fuue gets an individual portrait in color. I've posted a few pics of him in color, but I never quite got his complexion and haircolors right (owing partly to the fact that I've added slight changes over the three or four years I've been writing about this original character.) Anyway, here we have him--one of the main characters I write in my original post-apoc roleplay story with ~gakusangi, Seeing Red.

Fuue is biracial--he's African-Asian, with Japanese bloodlines on the Asian side. His African ancestors are from Tanzania, if they can be pinpointed down that precisely. The story takes place a long, long time in the future, and the world is a changed place, so countries and aces are not what they once were. Fuue's people, for example, have completely merged cultures and don't remember a time when they ere distinct races. They speak Swahili aloud and write in kanji, katakana and hiragana. I chose Japanese as his Asian side not because I'm an anime fan and nuts about the culture (although I certainly am fond of it), but because I was fascinated that Swahili and Japanese pronounce their vowels exactly the same.
