These Feelings

Mello finally realizes that his feelings for Near aren't exactly "hate"... Near has no clue what he's on about, though. I envision that Mello just walked up and assumed this pose without any explanation, and in classic Mello style he went into his wide-eyed, stare-through-you "thinking face" without a word. Poor Near.

Judging by Mello's outfit, they're still at Wammy's House.

Explanation behind this picture? Uh...none, really. I sketched it super-fast in dim lighting while riding in the car. *shrug* I've decided to use it as the first entry in my Open-mind Pairing Challenge for Mello. Starting with MelloxNear, probably the largest pairing for Mello ever. (Arguably, I guess--Matt's an awfully popular pairing for him, too.)

Mello and Near are from the anime/manga Death Note, and belong to Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.
