BIG Changes Ahead! :wow:

Well, after much stress and weeks of thinking over every little detail, I have come to my decision. Threshie's moving to Seattle. :D And changing jobs, too!

Already Put In My Two Weeks' Notice :boogie:

After all of my whining the past Journal or two, this should come as no surprise. I stuck it out in the supervisor position for about a month and a half. Honestly, I COULD have stuck it out longer. I could have hung around and made it work. But being promoted made me realize that I had no desire to get promoted--not this time, not any higher up. As far as career directions go, I have not been going the direction I want to go in years.

Final Wal-Mart Day: May 7th :w00t:

I'm leaving my current job on excellent terms. They told me if I ever come back to the Peninsula, I'd be warmly welcomed back to them. Several coworkers and even a few very happy customers have offered to be references while I job-hunt, and to write me glowing letters of recommendation. I just so happened to give notice on my payday, so my last day of work will also be a payday, and I get one more payday after that as well. Which is good, because I'll need the money for moving!

Renting With a Roomie
=)
I have a roommate all lined up to rent with, so city prices for apartments won't kill me off. Roomie happens to b somebody I've already lived with before--my sister, Couy-Chan ! She's also one of my best friends ever, so it'll be just awesome to get to see her more than once every two or three weeks again. We can hang out and be all nerdy over comics together. :la: I'm honestly really excited to try living in a city. I have never lived anywhere off of the Olympic Peninsula, but every time I visit Seattle, I think it's pretty awesome. Hoping maybe we can get a cat. Fingers crossed!

Gonna Be In Limbo a Bit, Here

I already put in my two weeks at work, but I haven't given notice at my apartment yet. I plan to do it when I pay the rent on the 1st, so that means I'll have about 20 days after that to move, and only the first week still at work. I will have a lot of cleaning and packing to do, but having a little free time and ability to sleep in and rest up will be like a vacation. A couple of weeks of no work will feel kind of weird, but I'll be job-hunting and submitting applications places ASAP after I'm over in Seattle. Gonna stay with Couy-Chan so I'm within interview range while I job-hunt. =)

Got Contacts Again :la:

Now if I wanna cosplay something that DOESN'T involve a full face mask (of DOOM), I can do it without wearing my glasses. I'm not sure my prescription's right for me yet, but putting the contacts in and taking them back out came back to me pretty easy. I guess it's like riding a bike--you never forget.

OMPC...? Hello?
I've had way too much on my plate work- and life-wise lately to draw much of anything. That huge change of pace in lifestyle with the job change and the move ought to help that, too. =) Maybe I'll even have a place to comfortably sit and draw in my new apartment. Who knows? The one thing I do know is, now that I'm familiar enough with the Marvel comics fandom, I have become fond of numerous crackish pairings, and I want to draw them ALL.

Steam

I know, there was a "Steam Love" section in last Journal. My love for Steam is ongoing, so I'm leaving it here. Did I mention that somebody's giving me a new laptop that might be more of a powerhouse than this one, allowing me to game better on the PC? Yeah. It seems like a lot of good stuff is coming my way all at once!

Hopes For 2015 Update

Continuing the space what I hope to change this year. Here's how it's going:

Changing jobs:
CHECK. :la: Okay, so far I've just gotten rid of this job. New job will be next!
Getting rid of debt:
My credit must be improving at least a tiny bit, because I actually got approved for a credit card for the first time in almost a decade. Using it very strategically and paying off at least $200 each month on it.
Getting a cat:
Depends on the apartment I wind up in, and whether it allows pets.
Part-time instead of full-time:
Well, Seattle's minimum wage is $15/hour, so...part-time would pay similar to what I earn over here. I'd rather get full-time that pays awesomely, though, so long as I just actually enjoy my job.
Eating less sugar:
Haha. Hahaha. HAHAHAHAHA. :faint: (I bought eight packages of cookies on the way home yesterday. EIGHT. Not the tiny one-serving kind, either, I'm talking like "pack of Oreos" large. XD; )
Drinking kombucha instead of energy drinks:
I can't seem to keep into the routine of making the kombucha. Maybe when I live near Whole Foods I'll just buy it.

Gotta Run, Expect Updates Soon!
I already feel SO much better just having decided on this big change in my life that my whole mindset is different. My creativity has been somewhat blocked lately because I couldn't relax. Not so now. Hope everybody's doing well out there in DA-land! :huggle:

Maybe, if you pack your scanner -- I can do a new SpideyPool comic! :excited:
